Assessment & Placement
The TTM Placement test contains 25 questions that establishes the depth of scaffold that an individual student needs prior to starting work in TTM.
It starts with a question 2 grade levels below a student’s current grade and selects each question thereafter, based on the performance on the last question answered. The test gives easier and/or harder questions until it determines where the student is consistently successful. This becomes the student’s Initial Placement in TTM program.
Find Placement assessment information listed as Below, On, or Above for each student on the TTM Overview Report,
The Placement test does not diagnose precisely what a student knows, but directs the program and each student to a place to start.
[It is NOT a full diagnostic assessment and will not identify a specific grade level or score for students]

Benchmark tests
This new assessment feature provides a ‘Quantile Measure’ applied to both students and math concepts. This indicates student’s readiness level for instruction.

Booster Pack Lessons
Booster Pack lessons are assigned to students if they place 3 or more grade levels below their assigned pathway level on the Placement Test. These lessons are designed to fill in foundational skill gaps to ensure the student has the appropriate knowledge to achieve success on target lesson within their grade level pathways. If your student did not ensure they tried their best on the placement exam they may be placed into these booster pack lessons due to their performance on the Placement Test. These additional lessons can be Tested Out of if the student so chooses by passing the Pre-Quiz or as the Teacher, you can Re-enroll the student back into the pathway and let them know to pay more attention while proceeding through the Placement Test.
